About MelonNode

Discord bot hosting built by people who ship bots

We are a small team that has been running community infrastructure for years. After frustration with opaque providers and panels that were not built for Discord workloads, we built the platform we wanted to use ourselves.

Our story

MelonNode started in 2022 as a straightforward hosting service for small communities. We ran workloads on shared hardware, used a standard panel, and kept prices low. It worked, but it was not the service we wanted to stand behind long-term.

In 2025 we shut everything down and rebuilt from scratch. We moved to dedicated hardware on Scaleway's POP2 platform in Paris — enterprise CPUs, NVMe storage, and isolated containers with no resource sharing. More importantly, we wrote a completely custom control panel: live logs, SFTP file management, dependency tooling, subdomain routing, and backups — none of which you get out of the box with generic panels.

We relaunched publicly in 2026 with a Discord-first product: deploy and operate bots with the same rigour we expect for production software. The pricing reflects real dedicated resources — we do not offer "unlimited RAM" plans because those promises are not real. Every plan lists exactly what you get.

We are a small team. Every support ticket goes to someone who actually knows the platform. When something breaks — and occasionally it does — we post an incident note rather than hoping nobody noticed.

How we operate

Six principles that guide every decision we make about the product, pricing, and support.

Performance without compromise

Every bot runs on NVMe storage with dedicated resources. We do not oversell nodes or share RAM between customers. When you pay for 8 GB, 8 GB is reserved for your containers.

Honest pricing

Our plans list exactly what you get — RAM, vCPU, NVMe, and concurrency headroom — with no hidden fees. Yearly billing saves 20% and we never lock you into multi-year contracts.

Built for Discord communities

MelonNode is designed for guilds, creators, and teams that need reliable automations: moderation, ticketing, music, custom commands, and integrations — without babysitting a VPS.

Custom panel, not a reskin

We wrote our control panel from scratch. It includes live logs, a full file browser with SFTP, dependency management, and backups — none of which you get from generic Pterodactyl skins.

Single-region focus

We currently operate from Paris, France (Scaleway POP2, fr-par). Rather than spreading thin across regions we cannot monitor, we optimise one location and do it properly. Additional regions are on the roadmap.

Support that responds

Support runs through Discord and an in-panel ticket system. We publish incident notes when something breaks and we respond to every ticket — no bots, no AI-generated copy-paste replies.

Infrastructure

All bots run as isolated Docker containers on dedicated hardware in Scaleway's POP2 data centre in Paris, France (fr-par). POP2 machines use AMD EPYC processors — a significant step up from the general-purpose VMs most hosts use — with NVMe SSDs on every node.

Each deployment gets its own container with a fixed RAM and CPU limit. Containers do not share memory pools. If your bot is allocated 8 GB, no other container can use that memory, even if the physical node has spare capacity.

DDoS protection is handled by TCPShield before traffic reaches our infrastructure. Public endpoints pass through multi-terabit scrubbing with automatic attack mitigation.

The control panel

Built entirely in-house. No Pterodactyl. No generic reskins.

  • Live logs

Stream stdout/stderr from your container. Debug startup issues without SSH.

  • File manager & SFTP

Browse, edit, upload, and download project files from the browser. Each bot gets a dedicated chrooted SFTP account with one-click credential rotation.

  • Stack & dependencies

Manage your runtime profile and dependencies from the panel so rebuilds stay predictable.

  • Package helpers

Install and update common dependencies from curated flows where the panel supports them.

  • Plans & resources

Every tier lists RAM, CPU, NVMe, and headroom — upgrade when you outgrow your current footprint.

  • Subdomain routing

Every bot gets a unique subdomain under melonnode.com. You can customise it from the bot settings page.

  • Backups

Automated daily backups with configurable retention. Download or restore any snapshot from the panel.
